Head Coach Daron Santo recently announced sophomore Marissa Caballero as
the women's basketball Athlete of the Month for December. The Hawks' non-conference record is 8-7 as CBC prepares to enter conference play. Six of the seven defeats have been to teams ranked in the women's poll.
Caballero's contributions include averaging 15.64 points per game, while dishing out 3.64 assists per game. Marissa continues to shine
off the court as well where her 3.69 fall quarter GPA earned her recognition for academic excellence.
Coach Santo says "Marissa has really stepped up her game from last year and has led us through a successful preseason schedule. We are excited to see what she will bring to our conference schedule in January and February."
Columbia Basin College men's basketball coach Rolando Garcia recently announced sophomore Andrew Reddout has been recognized as the men's Athlete of the Month for December.
Reddout is fourth in the NWAC in assists per game (4.69), sixth in scoring average (21.54 ppg), and seventh in rebounding (8.85 per game). He was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Yakima Valley Crossover.
Coach Garcia says "Andrew's leadership has really helped our players through a tough non-conference schedule. He's exactly what this team needs when battling adversity through some challenging contests."
