Women's Soccer
Columbia Basin College women's soccer coach Matt Mills recently recognized freshman Chandra Stevenson for her contributions on and off the field for the month of October. Chandra exemplifies success in the classroom and on the field.
Chandra is finishing her coursework ahead of schedule and currently holds above a 3.0 cumulative GPA during her two academic years at CBC.
Chandra started every match for the Hawks and finished the season as the team's leading scorer with 12 goals. Chandra hails from Kamiakin High School and brings a positive attitude and stellar work ethic to the women's soccer program.
Men's Soccer
Columbia Basin College men's soccer coach Kyle Vierck recently announced freshman forward Jesse Esquivel has been recognized as the men's soccer Athlete of the Month for October.
A Yakima Native, Jesse prepped at West Valley High School. As a freshman he led the East Region in scoring and was selected as an NWAACC All-Star.
Esquivel played the entire season with a severely separated shoulder, postponing surgery to compete this season. He's scheduled for surgery the week after the All-Star showcase November 18th.
