Service & Activities (S&A) Budget
Every year, the student government pulls together a committee of thoughtful students and two administrative staff representatives from the CBC Business office to recommend a Service & Activities (S&A) Budget to both the student legislative body and the CBC Board of Trustees. This budget committee is part of the legislative business of ASCBC Leadership Council. The students registered for Leadership Council will automatically serve as the student representatives to the budget committee and will conduct this legislative business as part of their workshop curriculum during winter quarter.

S&A Expeditures from 2011-12
State House Bill (SHB) 2352 concerning institutions of higher education services and activities fees, sponsored by Rep. Chris Reykdal, D-Olympia, was signed by the Governor on March 29, 2012. The bill requires Services and Activities (S&A) fee committees at institutions of higher education to post S&A fees expenditure information on the institutions’ websites. To comply with this SHB, ASCBC is reporting the expenditures of its S&A fees from the 2011-12 academic year. Please click here to view this report.
ASCBC Constitution & Bylaws
The Associated Students of Columbia Basin College created a Constitution & Bylaws to govern how their association will be run. This document explains the structure of student government, clubs, organizations, and activities. By adhering to this document, students can practice consistency within their procedures and policies. They also have a traceable history of how their government has and will evolve. This is is a living document, which means there is a process for which it can be changed on a year-to-year basis if students so desire. The current version of the document can be found here.
