What is CAMP?
Welcome to CAMP! The College Assistance Migrant Program is a unique educational program designed to help students from migrant and seasonal farm worker backgrounds succeed in college. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Education and is administrated through the Office of Diversity at Columbia Basin College.
Our mission is to provide students with the academic foundation they need to successfully reach their educational and career goals. CAMP will provide students with intensive academic, career, financial and support services during their first year of college.

Eligibility requirements
To participate in CAMP, a student must have been:
- A person who has spent, or whose parents have spent, a minimum of 75 days during the past 24 months in seasonal or migrant farm work.
- A person who has participated in, or was eligible for, a high school Migrant Education Program.
- A person who has participated in, or was eligible for, programs under the Workforce Investment Act for migrant and seasonal farm workers, (WIA Section 167).
- A U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Qualified to attend CBC as a full-time student with at least 12 credits.
Application requirements:
- Complete CAMP application
- Proof of citizenship or permanent residency
- Birth certificate
- Social Security card
- Proof of employment
- W2 income tax form
- Employer verification
- Copy of class schedule
- Copy of student ASSET scores
- Copy of financial aid awards
