50 years and still learning! |

On May 14, 1955, Columbia Basin College was established by order of the Washington State Board of Education. CBC was part of the Pasco school district and was housed in an abandoned Naval Air Station building at the Pasco airport. CBC has grown from that one original building to more than 20 buildings on three campuses with more to come.
CBC celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2005 with commemorative events in education, the arts, athletics, and old-fashioned get-togethers honoring our alumni, staff and faculty, and the Benton-Franklin community.

All past employees of CBC are invited back to a special reception honoring them and their dedication to building the college. Come reminisce about the past and talk about the future.

Athletic Tailgate Party
September 16, 2005 GYM Parking Lot 5:00-7:30 PM
CBC athletes, past and present, are invited to a tailgate party. Members of the 1962 Junior Rose Bowl team are scheduled to attend.

Alumni Reunion "A Night Under the Stars"

"A Night Under the Stars," at the new Robert and Elisabeth Observatory, is being planned for CBC alumni and emeriti from the classes of 1957-1979.
