Unofficial Transcripts
How can I obtain an unofficial transcript?
You can access the KIOSK for unofficial transcripts (at no charge), class schedule information, and other information. You will need your Student ID number and global PIN. If you do not know your Student ID number or global pin, please contact the Admissions and Registration office at (509) 542-4524 or email admissions@columbiabasin.edu.
Warning: An unofficial transcript printed off the KIOSK may not reflect all of the courses completed at CBC. The unofficial transcript option provides transcript information from 1986 to the present.
An official transcript will also include archived records (1950-1985). Therefore, if you need an official transcript reflecting courses prior to 1986, please reflect this on your transcript request.
Official Transcripts
How do I order an official transcript?
There are two ways to order a transcript.
- Online: CBC provides an online ordering service through Docufide™ called Secure Transcript™. Secure Transcript sends out official transcripts, checked and approved by CBC to the colleges, organizations, and scholarship funds you choose. You’ll receive email confirmation when each transcript is sent. You may also check your order status online. This order site will walk you through the order placement process, including delivery options and fees. You’ll need an email address, so they can contact you.
- CBC: Official transcript requests must be in writing. Download and print the Transcript Order Form, or pick one up in Student Services located in the Hub, or write a letter with the same information.
How do I order transcript that requires an enclosure with the transcript?
Transcripts requiring an enclosure must be processed by our staff at CBC.

Policies
In compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, a student's transcript will be released only upon the signed, written request of the student. TELEPHONE AND EMAIL REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED.
Official transcripts are printed on security paper, contain the school seal, the Registrar's signature, and are issued in a sealed envelope. Unofficial transcripts are mainly for advising purposes and are printed on plain paper.
Transcripts for course work completed at other schools or colleges submitted to CBC cannot be released. You must order those transcripts directly from the individual institutions.
Release of transcripts to a second party requires:
- A signed, written release from the student authorizing a second party to pick up a transcript.
- Positive photo identification (e.g. driver's license) of the party with the written authorization.
Transcripts will not be released to a student's parents unless the parent has the student's written consent.
Transcripts will not be issued if:
- The student's admissions file is not complete, or
- The student has a financial obligation to CBC in terms of non-payment of fees or loans or failure to return college-owned materials.
