What is Tech Prep?
Tech Prep is an educational reform strategy (funded by the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006) and partnership connecting the secondary and postsecondary workforce education systems. Tech Prep aims at helping high school students transition to further education or training in a technical field that leads to high skills/high wages employment opportunities.
Tech Prep Dual-Credit programThere are several dual-credit programs in Washington state offer high school students the opportunity of earning college credit while they are in high school. Students must register online and maintain a 85% or higher semester grade for the class they are enrolled in to earn college credit.
