There's something for everyone! |
Students who fully engage in out-of-classroom activities have an enhanced co
llege experience. Engaged students are more likely to complete their degree and feel positive about their time in college. The experience is enhanced due to increased interaction with their peers, faculty, and college staff. Plus, activities outside of the classroom are just plain FUN!
Join a Club
ASCBC sponsors club rush each year. Students can talk to current club members and pick up information about joining. Check out our Club Summary page.
Enjoy Campus Entertainment
ASCBC sponsors entertainment such as comedians, bands, films, and interactive activities all year! Most of the time these activities are free! Check out the campus calendar for upcoming FUN!
Hang out in the Hawk Union Building
The HUB is a great place to hang out and make new friends! Many ASCBC events happen in the HUB. It also houses the student game room, a visual messaging system, the student congress room/movie room, the cafeteria, a gorgeous sunroom, and a skylight.
Become a Member of Leadership Council
Leadership Council is a free weekly workshop that allows interested students to be actively involved in the College's student government program as a registered volunteer. IT IS OPEN TO ALL CBC STUDENTS! Students will be given the opportunity to develop their leadership skills through a group dynamic and participate in service/volunteer opportunities on campus and throughout the community. You will simply register for the workshop (WKSP 092), just as you would register for classes.
Show your School Spirit
CBC is extremely proud of our athletic organizations! Attend a sporting event. Go Hawks!
Be Inspired by Creativity
The arts programs at CBC are absolutely amazing. Listen to beautiful music while attending an orchestra, band, or vocal music concert. Take a leisurely walk through the Esvelt Art Gallery, or enjoy the excitement of a dramatic performance! Check out the campus calendar for upcoming events.
Be Active
Visit the fitness center or play pool, ping pong, or board games in the HUB game room. Enjoy being on campus!
Need Academic Help?
Find assistance at the Tutoring Center, where friendly faces are waiting to help you! For more information, check out the Tutor & Writing Center page.
Being a Parent and a Student
Having a hard time making ends meet? Don’t see how you can pay tuition and childcare? Maybe CBC can help! Ask about childcare reimbursement.
Study, Study, Study
But sometimes that’s not enough! Don’t be frustrated. Some students may need special assistance. Look into a learning needs assessment. It may help improve your grades!
What’s Going On?
ASCBC has several different avenues to help keep everyone informed. Read the student bulletin published by the ASCBC, read your student email for information about happenings on campus, check out the CBC Calendar of Events, follow us on Facebook, or just look around the HUB for fliers and banners advertising upcoming events. The HUB also has a new visual messaging system to help students stay informed.
