The Agriculture Scholars Program provides scholarships for tuition and books from industry sponsors. Students must qualify for scholarships by maintaining a GPA of 2.5 or higher. - Hands-on-experience on the CBC Research Farm and Greenhouse
Research is led by Dr. Tim Woodward. Past and present research projects include Alfalfa Plots, Switchgrass, Soybean, Safflower and Oilseed Trials. - Ten-week paid summer internships
All Agriculture students participate in internships to gain real-world experience. Internships are provided by industry sponsors. - Agriculture industry mentors
CBC has partnered with industry professionals to provide each student a mentor. Students have their own Agriculture Program Advisor to guide them through the education process and into an agriculture career. - Opportunities to participate in industry events
As part of the Agriculture program at CBC, students have the opportunity to attend many community events and trade shows throughout the year. This is an excellent way for students to make connections with industry professionals. - Tutoring
The CBC Tutor Center provides free help to students in math, science, English and literature. - Academic guidance
Kerrin Molton, Agriculture Instructor and academic advisor, can assist students in choosing the right courses for their career path or to transfer to a four-year institution. - Agriculture “Learning Community”
Students in the Agriculture program take many of their classes together, providing a peer support group and helping students to make connections with classmates.
