Public Observing Night
Public viewing at the Moore Observatory for fall 2009 started October 2 and will continue through most of November. Public viewing will resume in April of 2010. If you would like to reserve a time in the spring, please call in March of 2010.
Expanded Credit Course Offerings
We have intensified our efforts to increase astronomy course offerings. Our popular introductory course continues to be offered by our acclaimed Instructor Tony George, and new courses are being introduced.
Plans are Underway to Kickoff a Drive to Build a New Planetarium at CBC
The planetarium would be built adjacent to the observatory. Charlie Duke, the tenth man to walk on the moon, visited CBC in September 2008 to help promote plans of a planetarium. Charlie shared with the community his experiences walking on the moon in the Apollo 16 lunar landing mission to the Descartes Highlands.
