Introduction to the Japanese language including speaking and listening skills, reading, writing, and grammar, and the Japanese culture including geography, customs, daily life, and heritage. Designed for the novice learner of Japanese, with little or no proficiency in the Japanese language. Recommended that students have successfully completed at least ENGL 099.
