Introduction to the Chinese language including speaking and listening skills, reading, writing, and grammar, and Chinese culture including geography, customs, daily life, and heritage. Designed for the novice learner of Chinese, with little or no proficiency in the Chinese language. Prerequisite: recommended that students have successfully completed at least ENGL 099.
